Barton Slavin won at trial a $1.8 million award as plaintiff

Mr. Slavin is a cum laude graduate of the University of Buffalo and
Brooklyn Law School. He was admitted to the Bar in 1983 and is authorized
to practice in New York State Courts, Federal District Courts for the
Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and the Supreme Court of the
United States.
He is a member of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association,
Brooklyn Bar Association, New York County Lawyers Association, National
Association of Mortgage Brokers and the Defense Research Institute.
Since his admission to the Bar, Mr. Slavin has handled many complex
litigation matters including foreclosures, commercial claims, and tort
actions involving wrongful death, motor vehicle accidents and industrial
accidents.
He is the President of the Brooklyn Bar Association (for the years June 2006 to June 2007) (link), having served as a Trustee and Executive Board Member for many years. He has been the Chair of the Young Lawyers Committee, Chair of the Membership Committee, and Co-Chair of the Outreach to Orthodox Attorneys Committee. He currently is a member of the Judiciary Committee, the Supreme Court Committee and several other Committees. He has also served on several Committees of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York. He has been a Speaker at Continuing Legal Education seminars of both the Brooklyn Bar Association and The City Bar. He has published legal theory articles in the Brooklyn Barrister. His non-legal activities include his involvement as an Assistant Scout Master with the Boy Scouts. He enjoys camping and long distance bicycling. He provides free legal advice to the cycling community of New York and has been a supporter of Transportation Alternatives (link) for over a decade. He is a Life Member of The League of American Wheelmen (link).
Justices of the Supreme Court, in various Counties, have appointed him
to serve as a Court Evaluator in Mental Hygiene Law proceedings. He has
also received appointments to serve as a Guardian Ad Litem for infants and
incompetents in Estate and Guardianship proceedings.
Mr. Slavin is dedicated to providing the highest level of legal
